Travel tournaments have become great fun for the Gears
and their families. The Gears are known and welcome all
over the southwestern United States. We hope you all enjoy
yourselves on this upcoming trip.
We do want you to remember though, that our purpose
of this trip is for our participation in a tournament.
This tournament will feature some of the best teams from the
Western United States, as well as some from other parts of the country.
For this reason, it is imperative we conduct ourselves as professionals
as well as young adults.
Please take a moment and review our main rules for
the road. While these are not all-inclusive, and your individual coaches
may add more, they are the most important and will be strictly
enforced.
Curfew is as follows (Your coach can,
and will alter this):
14 Year old team – 10:00PM
16 Year old team – 11:00PM
18 Year old team – 12:00 midnight
Rooms will be checked
promptly at that time. If you are not present, playing
time will be affected. If you are with your parents and
will, or may be returning later, your coach MUST be notified PRIOR
to leaving.
Leaving your rooms after
curfew is not permitted, will be known, and will be reported to
your coach.
Players must stay in
rooms assigned.
Any damage to a room will be billed equally to all
players assigned to that room and their parents, regardless of their
involvement and/or presence – this is NOT negotiable!
ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL
OR DRUGS. Any room found to contain either will result
in the parents of ALL ASSIGNED TO THE ROOM being notified, immediate
removal from the team, and immediate departure of ALL ASSIGNED
TO THE ROOM AT THE PLAYER’S/PARENTS’ EXPENSE. If you are
in a room and notice this, it is your responsibility to inform your
coach!
The Garden of Gears
is a Non-Smoking team. If you are of legal age (18 years)
and smoke, it must be done outside your room, whether or not yours
is a smoking room.
Rooms are for Gears
players and visiting parents – NO unauthorized visitors
ASBOLUTELY NO FEMALE GUESTS.
Absolutely no entry
into a casino – a player in a casino will be through playing
for the tournament!
You are NOT the only
guests of the hotel. Running through the hallways, doors
opening and closing, loud noise, wrestling, and ball playing in the
rooms not only annoys the other guests, but also shows a lack of professionalism
and is not permitted. BE COURTEOUS – ESPECIALLY IN THE POOL
AREA!
These are not intended to be
all-inclusive, but are certainly the more important. Your
coaches may or may not assign other rules and/or duties and should
be taken just as seriously. Be responsible, courteous, and
take care of your own business and we will enjoy our road trips – and
most of all, be welcome back!
