Baserunning Principles
- Every Pitch Has A Purpose
- There is NO Waste Pitch
- With an 0-2 count on a hitter
- throw a set up pitch.
- Go right after the hitter
regardless of where they are in the batting order.
- It is very important to shut
the other team down, ESPECIALLY after we have a big inning.
- Develop a running and throwing
program. Write it down and give it to Coach Moore before the season.
- Sprint to and from the mound
- always.
- Relievers should stay in
the game, be mound ready.
- The pitcher with the next
start will chart the hitters to help set up the defense.
- All pitchers will run with
the team after the game.
- Bring your jacket to every
game.
